Module 01
Introduction to Home Staging
This module introduces you to the world of staging internationally and locally and why staging is so important for sellers, buyers and property professionals.
We look at stats and analyse the financial loss for sellers who don’t stage. We finish with practical exercises to help you review the module.
Module 02
Preparing the home and the principles of staging
This fun module shares all the secrets to staging a vacant or "occupied" home. You will learn how to use light, art, plants, colours and much more to achieve a beautiful effect.
We show you over 40 Before and After staging photos.
Module 03
Photography
Buyers look at properties for sale online first, which is why photographs are so important. In this module, we focus on the important do’s and don’ts of photographing properties for sale or rent.
Module 04
How to approach your first project
In this module, we assume you are venturing out to do your first professional staging job. Exciting, but perhaps a little daunting.

How do you find furnishings?
These are some of the issues we talk about.
Module 05
Philosophy and costing
How does a home stager get paid? Should you get a deposit or be paid after staging? You'll learn about the best way to get paid.
You'll also spend time costing how to stage three rooms.
Module 06
Administrative issues
Admin is part of any business, and in this module we focus on admin that pertains specifically to home staging enterprises.
We deal in detail with different ways of quoting, invoicing and what to put in your contract. We share real quotes and agreements and end with practical exercises.
Module 07
Marketing
How do you find clients? What do you say to them? What marketing materials do you need? I give you examples from my own branding journey.
Final Project
Getting your certificate
You’ll do a home staging project that you choose. Don’t worry if you don’t have clients yet! You can stage your own home or a friend’s. The point is to apply all your learning!
Submit it for evaluation and to earn your certificate of successful completion.
About the certificate
The certificate is awarded to students who have completed all the modules and the project. The project is evaluated against criteria that you will cover in the course.
Your certificate will be issued in your legal name and sent to you when you have successfully completed the course. The course is approved by the International Association of Home Staging Professionals.
